Oral surgery in Pasadena

Surgery in the same office as your checkups

A tooth that has to come out, wisdom teeth crowding the back of the mouth, a missing tooth that needs an implant: these are the moments people go looking for an oral surgeon. At Premier Care Dental Group the surgical work is done at the Pasadena office where patients already get their cleanings, so your records, x-rays and dentist are already there.

The practice lists tooth extractions and jaw surgery among its oral surgery services, along with wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting to support future implants, dental implants, and biopsies and oral pathology. Local anesthesia comes first, sedation is available when you want it, and you leave with detailed after-care instructions.

Questions

Pasadena oral surgery questions

Plain answers on procedures, sedation, recovery and who does the work.

The practice's own doctors, at the Pasadena office. The team includes Dr. Andrew Y. Lee, who holds a DDS from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and an MD from New York Medical College, and periodontist Dr. Dennis R. Hunt for gum procedures. Ask at your consultation which doctor will treat you.

Yes. Wisdom teeth removal is one of the oral surgery services offered at the Pasadena office, to relieve pain and avoid crowding.

Three levels of sedation are offered: nitrous oxide, oral sedation and IV sedation. IV sedation gives the deepest calm and is used for more complex procedures, under close monitoring.

With oral or IV sedation, plan on it, and confirm with the office when you book. Nitrous oxide is a lighter option.

Yes. Implant treatment starts with an exam and 3D imaging. The post is placed, fuses with the bone over several months, and then a custom crown is attached.

Most dental insurance is accepted, including Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, Humana and United Concordia. A plan missing from that list may still cover you, so call and ask.

Call (626) 669-3141 right away; never ignore facial swelling. If swelling makes it hard to breathe, call 911 or go to an emergency room.
